FAQs
Q: Did you go to school for photography?
A: I have no formal training. I'm self-taught in photography and pretty much everything that I do.
Q: What's your style?
A: Years ago I nicknamed my style "Dark Sultry" - but I'm not sure if I would still consider it as such.
Overall, I enjoy creating emotion. Whether that emotion is depressing, joyful or nostalgic, I want the viewer to be moved.
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I've had interest in photography for nearly 20 years but I began taking it seriously in 2012. I started shooting professionally in 2015. The years prior I made a little money here and there but I wouldn't go as far as saying I was a professional.
Q: What type of camera body and lens do you shoot with?
A: I own 5 camera bodies, but the Nikon D750 is my go-to. As for the lenses, I mainly shoot with the
AF-S NIKKOR 50mm, AF-S NIKKOR 28mm and the vintage NIKKOR 35-105mm Zoom lens. Deciding which lens to shoots with depends on the project.
Q: Do you retouch all of your work?
A: Yes I do. Each picture is individually retouched.
Q: Will I receive the raw images?
A: Unless its for high-level clients or a specific opportunity, I do not offer raw files.
Q: What types of photography do you shoot?
A: I love creating and shooting personal projects in my spare time but I do other types of photography such as corporate headshots, advertisement, family portraits, graduation portraits, college events, maternity, engagement, weddings, and so on.
Q: How do you come up with ideas for your photoshoots?
A: I find inspiration and ideas everywhere, but my biggest source is music. The mood a specific song puts me in is the mood I try to recreate in my photos.
Q: What should I expect during the shoot?
A: You can expect a learning experience, you can also expect to have fun. Enjoying yourself is a priority of mine along with making sure that you feel and look your absolute best. You can expect that I will work with you to create the best photos possible. You can expect that I will take the process of shooting you very seriously and make sure that your needs are met and exceeded.
